reckless writing

 reckless [rek-lis] adj. without caution

“As we learn to bear the intimacy of scrutiny, and to flourish within it, as we learn to use the products of that scrutiny for power within our living, those fears which rule our lives and form our silences begin to lose their control over us.”

Catching the Current Writing into Our Lives

Have you wondered about this type of writing? We let poems stir us into our writing. We come with no expectations, no striving toward anything. We simply allow. Make ourselves available. We let the pen take us where it will. No writing experience necessary, all levels invited. We will use poems to inspire and invite us into our writing.

This will be a time to generate writing, give voice to our writing and we will be witness to each other. It is writing for ourselves. We are not striving toward good or something finished. There will be no critique or reflection. We will just honor the process and the practice.

We are being taken by our pens, after hearing a poem (twice) we let the pen take us where it must. And then we share but only as witness to what the writer wrote.

It will be a place to just show up utterly unconcerned about the outcome. Though the writing may lead you to a poem, an essay or into a deeper knowing of self. I wish I could tell you the depths of this simple process. Something happens doing it in community. Come find out!

what participants are saying…
